About Our Association

Learn more about the SDA Church Kahawa Sukari Welfare Association.

Welcome to the S.D.A Church Kahawa Sukari Welfare Association. We are a community-driven association dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, mutual support, and solidarity among our members. Established with the core values of compassion and collective responsibility, we aim to be a beacon of hope and assistance in times of need.

Our Objectives

The primary objectives of our Association are:

  • To provide comprehensive services to welfare members through prayers and by encouraging them to carry one another’s burdens.
  • To offer moral and financial support to members during times of need and distress, in alignment with biblical teachings (Matthew 25:35-40) and Adventist church counsels.
  • To actively assist in the spiritual growth and warmth of both our members and the wider society.

Membership

Membership is open to all baptized church members listed in the church register and Sabbath School members of SDA Kahawa Sukari. We maintain separate registers for both categories to ensure tailored support. Sabbath School members are required to be nominated and recommended by at least five church members, including an elder, and must have a record of regular church attendance with an upright standing for at least one year.

Each spouse in a couple is required to register as an individual in the welfare association.

How to Become a Member:

  • Register via our online application form or fill in a physical application form designed for the welfare.
  • Pay a one-time registration fee of Kshs 500/- after verification and approval.
  • Pay an annual subscription fee of Kshs. 1,200/- by 31st of March each year.

  • Sickness and Other Misfortunes: Organized visitations with care packages for members hospitalized for more than 5 days.
